Description

Adecco is currently recruiting a Distribution Integrity Engineer to work for one of our Top clients located in Saskatoon. This position works within the Distribution System Integrity group and is responsible for leading activities related to the development and execution of a quality management system for polyethylene (PE) pipe fusions/connections. The candidate will lead and coordinate the development of standard practices related to ultrasonic testing of polyethylene (PE) pipe fusions, as part of an overall Quality Management program.

This may include, but is not limited to:

- Review construction techniques relative to PE fusions and look for ways to improve and promote Quality;
- Create new Construction, Operations, and Maintenance Practice (COMP) documentation for inspection and testing of PE pipe and related connections
- Work with vendors to advance PE fusion testing processes and technologies
- Field inspections of new construction PE fusions province wide throughout the construction season as per established specifications and guidelines;
- Field inspection and/or shop testing of failed PE fusions as part of a post incident integrity investigation; Evaluation (in class and/or shop inspections) of PE fusions completed during in house fusion training as part of operator qualification program
- Assist in the development of plans and business cases to optimize integrity management programs

Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering  preference for Mechanical or Industrial Systems
- Alternative - Bachelors Degree in Engineering  Civil or Environmental Systems
- Beneficial Designations - NDT Technician Diploma, Quality Management Certificate
- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's license
- 1 to 5 years of engineering experience

Skills and Experience:

- Plastic Pipeline Construction
- Software (MS Excel, MS Word, SharePoint, ESRI GIS)
- Ultrasound test equipment
