Description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is a diverse business operating in the agriculture, food, energy and home and building sectors. FCL invites applications for the position of Trailer Mechanic (evening shift) at our warehouse in Regina. The Mechanics on our evening shift will work four 10-hour days, Monday to Thursday, weekly. The hours will be 2:30 pm to 1:00 am. FCL manufactures, retrofits, and services new petroleum delivery trucks and conducts service work on petroleum delivery trailers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

o Mechanical services on petroleum delivery units.
o Mechanical services and repairs on semi-trailer units such as suspension work, performing wheel alignments, troubleshooting and repairing airbrake systems, and ABS systems.
o Installing and troubleshooting truck mounted fuel management equipment including power take offs, pumps and meters.
o Installing and troubleshooting 12/24 V electrical truck and trailer components.
o Testing and inspections required by Transport Canada on cargo tanks and associated equipment.
o Operating, maintaining, and servicing steamer.
o Preventative maintenance of shop equipment and tools.
o Understanding and following department rules and regulations regarding equipment, tools and safety.

Requirements:
    
o Heavy Equipment and Truck and Transport Technician certificate or equivalent.
o Able to obtain a Class 3A drivers license.
o Welding experience. CWB GMAW flat certification preferred.
o Must have 1-2 years related experience.
o Excellent communication skills.
