Thyssen Mining is looking for an energetic and detail oriented individual to join our Finance team as a Purchasing Administrator in our Regina, SK Head Office.
The chosen individual will report to the Director of Finance. In this role, the Purchasing Administrator will work alongside our Finance and Operational teams to enter purchase orders and receiving documents in our accounting system, liase with the accounts payable department, source suppliers in new locations, assist with company compliance programs, manage inventories, review and negotiate supplier agreements, monitor and maintain procedures and policies.
The ideal candidate will possess:
-5 years experience in a purchasing related position within the construction industry
-Experience with service and supply agreements
-Proven experience in pricing arrangements and negotiations with suppliers
-Post-secondary education in a related field
-Strong business applicable computer skills
-Ability to adapt and learn or accept as required
-Methodical and detail oriented approach to work practices
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment, in addition to effectively carrying out individual responsibilities
