Description

Southwest Homes is looking for a Full Time Program Coordinator to oversee Community Based Programs for individuals with differing intellectual and/or physical needs.  Reporting to the Executive Director you will be responsible for the overall management of 3 programs and support to the staff and individuals in the programs.  
Hours are typically Monday to Friday, predominately in an office setting.  

Key Responsibilities include:
    Providing ongoing support to Managers and Direct Support Workers
    Developing, implementing and evaluating programs to enhance individuals quality of life
    Responsible for direct supervision and performance reviews of subordinates
    Participates in interviewing, hiring and discipline of staff
    Responsible for scheduling and staffing as required
    Teaching staff in a group setting
    Required to be part of an on call rotation

Key Qualifications and Competencies:
    A minimum of 5 years combined education and experience in human services
    Disability Support Worker Certificate or similar
    Experience in supervision of others
    CRP and First Aide Certificate
    Valid Class 5 License and access to a personal vehicle
    Strong communication skills
    Decision making skills
    Team oriented
    Ability to coach and motivate staff
    Focus on Person Centered Supports

Compensation based on education and experience.  
Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check prior to employment.
