G.C. Jensen Acres Inc., a large, modern, grain farm operation located at SW 03-30-12 W3 of Milden, Saskatchewan S0L 2L0, is looking for 2 Farm Labourers/Equipment Operators to perform the following duties: 1) Operation of equipment for all or any of the following: field operation, seeding, spraying, swathing, combining, post-harvest maintenance/tillage; 2) Help in regular maintenance of farm equipment; 3) Regular maintenance of farm yards and buildings (mowing of grass, and help in repair and maintenance of buildings); 4) General day-to-day tasks required for operations of the farm.
Requirements: No formal education required; basic farm knowledge obtained from working on a family farm an asset; good command of English language; minimum of one complete cropping season of basic farm experience with modern machinery an asset; mechanically-inclined; physically fit and self-starter; can work independently with minimal supervision and a team-player; when necessary, willing to work long hours; with valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract; Class 1A driver's license an asset.
Employment details: Work is full time for 2 years to start on February 15, 2019; wage at $22 per hour at average 40 hours per week; 15 days paid vacation per year of employment; modern, full-service accommodation and board are available on farm; on-the-job training provided; benefits according to applicable Canadian/Saskatchewan labour standards provided.
