The Saskatchewan Registered Nurses' Association is seeking a permanent full-time position - Nursing Advisor, Regulatory Services.
The Nursing Advisor, Regulatory Services provides evidence-based leadership in responding to questions about nursing regulation, writing SRNA documents and delivering education to members. The Nursing Advisor, Regulatory Services assesses, evaluates and determines eligibility for RN, RN(AAP) and RN(NP) licensure; counsels/communicates with RNs, RN(NP)s, stakeholders and members of the public regarding RN and RN(NP) regulatory and legislative issues. The Nursing Advisor, Regulatory Services acts as advisor to staff advisory committees as assigned and represents SRNA on national, provincial, and local committees of key stakeholders regarding nursing regulation and health policy.
Core Competencies:
- Current eligibility for registration with SRNA
- Master of Nursing degree, thorough & specialized knowledge in program or service area to facilitate service or policy design & development
- Significant experience (approximately 5 years or more) working in domains of nursing as RN or RN(NP)
- Proficiency in obtaining, analysing & summarizing evidence related to determining eligibility for RN & RN(NP) licensure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills & ability to positively interact with members, stakeholders & the public.
- Committed to working collaboratively & demonstrated ability in working autonomously.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in both verbal & written context with clarity and conciseness.
- Excellent skills in public speaking, developing & delivering presentations.
- Strong organizational skills, effectively prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, manage programs & lead projects
- Respectful of confidentiality & the dynamic inherent within the role of representing the SRNA.
