KRN TOLENTINO ARCHITECTURE Ltd.  is currently seeking for a qualified Building Energy Modeling Specialist .  The successful candidate  will be responsible for preparing energy simulation models in architectural design projects, in addition to preparing documentation required for Commercial and Residential Building Permit submissions.

Responsibilities will include:
Performs building envelope Energy Modeling  that analyzes energy and thermal performance for residential and commercial projects;
Prepare NECB Performance Compliance Path Summary and Energy Efficiency Compliance Forms or other documentation required  for Commercial and Residential Building Permit application submissions;
Performs field works to collect existing data and information to support design decisions necessary for the realization of the energy simulation model;
Analyze and understand building plans in order to extract building energy modeling data;
Assist the Client  and Engineering sub-consultants in the selection and application of equipments to satisfy requirements of energy model;
Consult with clients and design teams to satisfy the requirements of energy model and geared towards improving energy performance, indoor air quality, and thermal comfort;

Qualifications:
Architectural or Mechanical Engineering Technologist graduate from a recognized Program;
Minimum 2 years relevant experience with building envelope and energy-efficient system design and simulation;
Experience with the following Energy simulation software: IES , eQUEST, Canquest;  RETScreen, HAP, TRACE, and/or Hot2000 experience;
LEED Accredited Professional status considered an asset;
Thorough understanding of the current National Energy  Code and National Building Code of Canada (emphasis on NBC Section 9.36);
Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others;
Requires understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD and Revit;
