KRN TOLENTINO ARCHITECTURE Ltd.  is currently looking for talented individuals with Building Energy Modeling (BEM) experience to join our team as Mechanical Technologist.
Responsibilities:
Performs Building Energy Modeling  that analyzes energy and thermal performance for residential and commercial projects;
Prepare Energy Efficiency Compliance Forms, Reports or other documentation required  for Building Permit application submissions;
Performs field works to collect existing data and information to support design decisions necessary for the realization of the energy simulation model;
Analyze and understand building plans in order to extract building energy modeling data;
Assist the Client  and Engineering sub-consultants in the selection and application of equipments to satisfy the requirements of energy model;
Prepare full sets of working drawings using Revit and Autocad software;
Assist Senior Architect with Client meetings, presentations and contract administration.

Qualifications:
Mechanical Technologist graduate from a recognized Program;
Minimum 2 years relevant experience with building envelope and energy-efficient system design and simulation;
Experience with the following Energy simulation software: IES , eQUEST, Canquest;  RETScreen, HAP, TRACE, and/or Hot2000 experience;
LEED Accredited Professional status with the Canadian Green Building Council (or significant progress towards this accreditation) considered an asset;
Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others;
Must have an interest in mechanical building systems, sustainable building design/green technology;
Requires understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Powerpoint.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT drafting software;
Thorough knowledge of latest Canadian Building Codes & Energy Codes, building systems and technology;
