Reporting to the Systems Technology (ST) Infrastructure Lead, the Systems Analyst (III) provides Tier 3 support for services pertaining to infrastructure (storage, operating systems and enterprise systems) at the CLS. The incumbent provides technical direction and guidance to Level II Analysts and Technologists and is a fully qualified specialist or technical expert in more than one specific area.
Responsibilities:
- Providing excellent customer service and responding to customer requests with a solution generating approach and skillful questioning
- Translating business needs into technical and functional requirements and working with end users, technical teams, and vendors
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation
- Developing and implementing testing and Disaster Recovery plans
- Planning change management activities with the business to encourage adoption by end users and high utilization of the solution
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience with IT Service Delivery, Microsoft Server Operating Systems, and Enterprise class storage systems
- Demonstrated proficiency with VMWare
- Good understanding and experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Management, VMWare
- Experience with Microsoft Systems Center suite (SCCM, SCOM), Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Azure is a bonus
- Familiarity with integration of MacOS and Linux into a Microsoft Windows architecture is an asset
- ITIL experience or previous experience with IT Governance and change management is an asset
