As Marketing & Events Coordinator with our trusted client, you will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing public relations activities and business development initiatives. Your administrative skill set and flair for event planning will be an asset to the team!
Duties will include:
- Handle all aspects of the planning, organizing and coordinating of company events (conferences, receptions, golf tournament, etc.). This will include sourcing vendors, booking accommodations, coordinating registration, and on-site support during events.
- Assist with basic accounting duties (project-related) such as invoicing to vendors.
- Building relationships with sponsors, vendors, designers and ad agencies.
- Website and social media maintenance including researching, writing and editing content.
- Writing media releases and informing readers of updates. Assistance with marketing campaigns and creating promotional material.
- Provide training to staff on how to access and use marketing and events resources.
- General project and office duties that will include word processing, research, spreadsheet support and clerical tasks.
Personality/Desired attributes:
- 3+ years experience with marketing and event coordination.
- Exceptional communication spoken and written.
- Comfortable with basic accounting tasks.
- Strong computer skills with programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Superior organization and multi-tasking skills, with an eye for detail.
- Post-secondary education in marketing or businesses considered an asset. Design and social media experience an asset.
