Description

Brandt is currently seeking an Estimator for our Saskatoon location.

Major Responsibilities:

Review estimate requirements and establish an estimating plan tailored to meeting the customers needs, maximizing internal profit and providing a competitive price for the requested work.
Determine customer needs by establishing required specifications and project specific requirements.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
When applicable, refer to previous projects of similar nature for cost comparison.
Consult with Customer, Engineering, Sales, and Production to determine scope, specifications, compliances, application, schedule etc.
Identify and quantify cost factors such as labor, material and time requirements and prepares estimate for each project/product.
Present prepared estimate including the costs and detailed descriptions of product to Sales team to determine appropriate sales price.
Coordinate with customer on all changes in scope, questions or clarifications regarding the product.
Establish costing methodologies and references for quick and accurate costing.
Analyze lost quotes based on customer feedback and information from Sales.
Analyze completed Work Orders for accuracy of quote.
Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Knowledge in construction best practice and methodology.
Knowledge in manufacturing process and industry standards.
Ability to read and understand drawing and technical documents.
Dedicated, well organized with the ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Detailed oriented with the ability to focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Professional and courteous in all communications with customers, suppliers and internal contacts.
Demonstrate initiative and sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
