-Design and implement education & prevention programs and materials on Harm Reduction, HIV, AIDS, and Hepatitis C including PowerPoint presentations, print material, website information and other formats as necessary, for professionals and specific target groups: People Who Use Drugs, people living with HIV, people who are homeless, youth, men who are sexually active (MSM), and others
-Facilitate training opportunities for staff, volunteers, and board members at AS.
-Travel to communities outside of Saskatoon
-Assist with the development and evaluation of long-term strategies for E & P programs.
-Develop education materials that keep with current trends.
-Oversee the collection and analysis of statistical and evaluative data for Education and Prevention programming from evaluation forms, events, etc.
-Plan and implement activities for AIDS Awareness Week, World AIDS Day, World Hepatitis Day with partner agencies plus other E & P events as requested.
-Network with other HIV, AIDS, and Hepatitis C educators and allied professionals.
-Respond to requests by individuals or organizations for information (by phone, in person, etc) on HIV, HCV, STI transmission, testing, etc.
-Present monthly educational content to staff at staff meetings.
-Update organization Social Media
-Purchase and maintain an adequate supply and oversee the distribution of safer sex supplies.
-Maintain an adequate supply of print resources on HIV, HCV and related issues.
-Needle Exchange duties as needed.
-Help plan and implement fundraisers
-Attend community events
-Other duties as assigned
-Ability to use Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Publisher an asset
-Graphic design considered an asset.
-Must be comfortable public speaking.
-Must own your own reliable vehicle and have a clean driving record (mileage reimbursement provided).
-Must provide a Criminal Record Check.
-Must have valid First Aid CPR Certificate.
