Description

SARCAN Recycling provides environmental protection, employment creation and economic development through a province-wide network for recycling beverage containers, paint and electronics. We were founded in 1988 by SARC, a provincial association that provides services to nonprofit organizations to expand their potential.
At SARCAN, we create meaningful careers that matter in communities all across the province.  We are seeking an individual to add to the success of our team as Project Coordinator.
The Project Coordinator will lead the creation of a strategy to support employees transitioning into retirement. This includes conceptualizing, designing, delivering and evaluating SARCAN retirement support programs. You will develop and maintain positive, effective relationships, and build partnerships with relevant individuals, community partners, and service providers provincially. Core objectives include identifying employee needs and developing internal programming and pathways to support.  This project will have a specific focus on the unique needs of our diverse populations including adults experiencing disability and other underserved individuals.

The successful candidate must possess 3-5 years relevant experience as well as a post-secondary degree, preferably in human services. Education and experience in project management is an asset. A combination of education and experience may also be considered. Initiative, self-direction and a high level of accountability are essential traits for this role. You must be creative, adaptable, an excellent communicator and facilitator, and come with a proven background of designing and implementing innovative programming.
