Description

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic finance professional to develop programs and models that evaluate SaskCentrals asset/liability strategy. If you have a high level of technical financial knowledge, an analytical mindset, and you embrace change and enjoy working in a collaborative work environment, this may be the position for you.

The Job
Working with the Manager, Asset/Liability Management, you will be responsible to manage risk monitoring and reporting systems, and the stress testing program for interest rate, liquidity, foreign exchange, credit and pricing risk. You will assist in the development and deployment of strategies designed to optimize SaskCentrals risk/return profile. Your role will also include managing SaskCentrals Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) model and supporting the Liquidity Crisis Management Plan (LCMP). In addition you will maintain ALM policies and procedures, and will provide analysis to support the preparation of ALM reporting documents for the board, various committees, working groups and our regulator.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce or Actuarial Science. You will already possess or be working toward one of the following designations: CPA, CFA or FSA. A solid understanding of asset/liability management is required, including knowledge of finance, regulations and risk principles/concepts. Extensive knowledge and experience with financial risk management models and related software is also required. You will have strong problem solving skills, advanced research and analytical skills complemented with strong written communication skills. Experience with the credit union system and/or financial services sector would be an asset.
