The Position:

The successful applicant will take on a key technical role on one of our project teams. These teams are involved in developing and upgrading systems that include real-time equipment control, complex proprietary communication protocols, high-availability and graphical user interfaces featuring sophisticated real-time updates and complex data visualizations. These systems run on Linux and/or Windows OS in a distributed configuration and are written in C++ or Java.

Requirements:

-A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics (with multiple computer science classes);
-A minimum 3 years experience developing software;
-Proficiency in C++ or Java; and
-The ability to integrate well into a team, to quickly solve complex problems and to easily adapt to new technologies.

Experience in the following areas is considered an asset:

-Developing Linux-based, high-availability, scalable server side software systems;
-Developing rich client user interfaces using Java Swing or JavaFX; and
-Developing responsive systems that make use of threading.
