Description

Working under the direction of the Board of Directors to facilitate and plan programming, the coordinator is responsible for the day to day operations of the Moosomin Family Resource Centre.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
-planning and implementing activities including setting up programs and cleaning up afterwards;
-ensure a safe, clean and healthy environment;
collaborating with other service providers in order to facilitate partnerships;
-updating and maintaining social media accounts;
-helping to search, write, and apply for various government and private grants;
-assist with fundraising projects
-supervise summer students

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
-post secondary education related to early childhood would be an asset.  A combination of experience, education, and training will be considered
-knowledge and ability to facilitate and organize structured learning activities
have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel
-must provide a satisfactory criminal record check (including vulnerable sector search), and child abuse registry check
-must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position which my include reaching, bending and lifting up to 25kg or 55 pounds
-knowledge of child development and behaviour
-excellent problem solving and time management skills
-excellent verbal communication skills
-excellent written communication skills with the ability to document daily activities and prepare written grants and reports
