Description

The North East SPCA is in need of a Fundraising Professional who has an enthusiastic attitude toward meeting his/her goals. This position requires you to be passionate for the work we do.

Attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, ability to work well with a team and remain flexible are a must.

You are the centre of your team's activities, and the backbone behind our fundraisers, volunteers, and donors. Your volunteer management skills will help you connect with your volunteers, donors, and communities. In addition to managing your own fundraising campaigns, you will support our community fundraising teams to enable them to succeed in their fundraising programs.

Key responsibilities . Act as the face of the organization in the office and in our communities

Respond to telephone and walk in inquiries/donations, liaise with other rescues, SPCA's and, Humane Societies, local authorities, social workers and women's shelters.

. Keep accurate communication records, databases and files

. Maintain and provide required financial documents for fundraising initiatives, donations and office expenses.

. Meet annual fundraising goals by managing volunteer Community Fundraising Groups and individual campaigns within the North East Area.

Develop plans for reaching fundraising targets that will include Community Fundraising Team planning meetings. Coordinate with the Director of Volunteers to assist with recruitment and orientation of the team leaders and volunteers.

Cultivate and grow relationships with volunteers and donors to ensure continued growth and success of fundraising initiatives.

Experience

Previous fundraising, marketing and/or sales experience is an asset

Proven success in fundraising and volunteer management
