One of Western Canada's fastest growing engineering, construction and technical service companies is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer or Electrical Technologist to provide technical support for the engineering and field service aspects of our business.
Joining our technical team will mean taking a visible role with new and existing clients. You will also support the engineering and electrical construction elements of our organization. This may involve, in-house design and study functions, as well as field-orientated project construction, commissioning, preventative maintenance and testing assignments.
Responsibilities:
-Design, inspect, commission, test, maintain and repair electrical power and control systems; generators, transformers, breakers, protection relays and other equipment.
-Read technical electrical, mechanical and instrumentation drawings.
-Point of contact for customers and maintain and develop customer service relationships.
-Provide technical services and support to internal/external customers.
-Operations and reliability engineering support for a variety of industrial and utility clients.
-Writing proposals and technical reports.
Qualifications:
-Diploma or degree from a post-secondary education institute in a technical field (electrical or mechanical related) which allows for professional affiliations.
-One (1) to two (2) years applicable work experience and affiliation (or eligibility) with a professional organization (A.Sc.T., P. Eng., or equivalent) would be an asset.
-Specialized expertise of a particular area in your field of practice.
-Time management and organizational skills to balance field and office work commitments.
-Willing to travel and work extensive hours to maintain strict timelines.
-Solid understanding of the business and customer environment.
-Physically fit to lift and move heavy items up to 50 lbs.
-Valid driver's license.
-Physical fitness test and drug and alcohol test will be required.
