Can-Am Gymnastics Club is looking for a Recreational Director. This position is filling a 1 year maternity leave. It is a part time position with the potential to full time hour depending on the candidate. The Recreational Director is responsible for upholding program integrity, supervising and mentoring program staff and coaching gymnastic classes. The ideal candidate will be a leader, innovative, have knowledge pertaining to the sport of gymnastics. The ideal candidate is a compassionate individual who enjoys working with children.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
-Ability to plan, organize, direct, lead, and troubleshoot daily operations, services, and safety of recreation programs.
-Knowledge and physical ability to teach recreational programs.
-Ability to effectively mentor and lead staff
Responsibilities Include:
-Responsible for assisting the Recreational Program Manager with the recreational program administration.
-Responsible for mentorship and supervision of the Can-Am coaching staff.
Physical Demands:
-This position requires; the ability to stand for extended periods of time, hand eye coordination, spotting and lifting athletes of various ages and sizes, and fine manipulation skills.
-The candidate will assume responsibility for opening doors and managing some of the physical requirements of the facility.
The candidate will be available to work evening hours and one weekend day. Wage will be based on certification, skills and experience.
