Reporting to the Director, Health, Safety & Security (HS&S), the Manager, Health & Safety (H&S) will support the implementation of the health and safety component of the HS&S strategic plan. The manager will provide campus-focused leadership, direction, support, consultation, and expertise to the Saskatchewan Polytechnic community in all areas of H&S. The Manager will support the implementation and continued evolution of the health and safety framework and be a resource to all faculty, staff and students in the integration of health & safety models into existing operations.
A post-secondary degree or diploma in occupational health and safety or equivalent, along with a minimum of five years experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered. A professional designation in CRSP, CSP, or CSO would be an asset. Demonstrated leadership, H&S, and project management experience is required. Experience in a post-secondary institution is preferred. Other assets would include hazard identification experience, electronic H&S database management, policy and procedure writing experience, or quality management system experience.
