Description

Large family run farming business locataed at Pasqua, SK, just outside of Moose Jaw.

Qualities, Goals and Behaviors
    Provide leadership and supervise a large team of farm workers; (inexperienced and expert)
    Lead by example in a way that results in a safe, productive and positive work culture.
    Strong ability to lead and motivate a team.
    Demonstrate effective supervisory skills including conflict management and facilitation.
    Adept at perceiving,  interpreting, understanding and implementing the goals and visions of owners.

Duties
    Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations.
    Translate general work requirements into a prioritized work plan for employees and delegate tasks.
    Co-ordinate and supervise the work of full-time farm workers and seasonal laborers.
    Develop work schedules and establish procedures.
    Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations.
    Maintain work standards and outline behavioral expectations to team members to ensure productivity.
    Ensure team members are following abiding to OHS safety procedures.
    Ensure all projects are completed to quality standards, efficiently and on time.
    Direct the maintenance and repair of the organizations machinery, equipment and buildings.
    Maintain quality control and production records.

Must-haves:
    Only those legally able to work in Canada will be considered (citizen or permanent resident).
    Minimum 3 years of experience operating tractors, seeders, combines, sprayers, farm equipment.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Proven ability to coach team employees to their full potential.
    Superior ability to stay organized and delegate work effectively.
    Class 1 license would be an asset, but not mandatory.

Hours of Work and Benefits:
    Work hours are determined by seasonal operations and activities (~2400 hrs/year).
    Use of company truck during work hours.
