The Master Splitter maintains production and quality by ensuring operation and efficiency of the splitting machinery and mechanical equipment.
Duties:
1.Provide leadership and supervise processing splitting staff to ensure that employees and contractors adhere to safety standards within applicable legislation
2.Create a high performing culture with the processing splitting team to embrace innovation and problem solving
3. Receives training necessary to obtain a Millwright license
4.Learns the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by assisting in the preventive maintenance requirements on motors, conveyor systems production machines, operational manuals, manufacturers instructions and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
5.Learns to use hand and power tools
6.Receives and carries out job assignments, lifts, carries and loads tools and materials into work vehicles or work sites
7.Completes daily work logs and equipment maintenance logs
8.Responds to emergency situations
9.Learns to locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problem using precision measuring and testing instruments
10.Assists in the fabrication, disassemble and assemble production equipment to gain access and to remove defective parts
11.Assists in monitoring and tracking the performance of plant equipment and new installations.
12.Assists in the preventive maintenance on all equipment
13.Regularly reports to senior management on operational issues
14.Follow maintenance policies and procedures
15.Work in compliance with ETGs Commodity Inc. Occupational Health and Safety Policy
Work Schedule: Mon to Fri, 11:00 pm to 7:30 am.
1.Mechanical engineer or equivalent related experience
2.+5 years of management experience in splitting plant for pulses
3.Strong communication, time management, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
