Duties:
1. Maintains a comprehensive understanding of all products processed by the plant as well as the raw materials, packaging materials, and operations required including quality specifications and standards
2. Lead the SQF project together with SQF Leader in Head Office by implementing, verifying, validating, and maintaining the SQF system.
3. Lead the Health and Safety program in the plant
4. Responsible for document control within the SQF system and implementation in our facilities
5. Maintains work areas in a sanitized and orderly manner
6. Supervising our SQF procedures by conducting and/or evaluating various product tests, and operational procedures to meet specifications
7. Perform internal audits and fully document root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations
8. The position will assist in inspections and audits by regulatory agencies (FDA, CFEA), customers, and third-party agencies (SQF)
9. Handle customer complaint investigations, resolution and tracking
10. Maintain vendor approval program by requesting updated and new documents; perform vendor/supplier audit
11. Train team members in GFSI and SQF
12. Provide regular reporting to upper management on SQF & quality issues
13. Work in compliance with TW Commodities Occupational Health and Safety Policy
Qualifications:
Knowledge of Food Safety Practices, Safety Programs and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points
HACCP and SQF Certified preferred
Internal Auditor Certified preferred
Knowledge of General Manufacturing Practices
Knowledge of labeling and nutritional contents as it pertains to FDA and USDA
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of process control methods and application of preventative practices
