North West Bio-Energy Ltd (NWB) operates a cutting edge bio-products facility that is located just 1 Mile East of Unity, Saskatchewan.
The qualified applicant should have a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, or Microbiology related field. Over 2 years of laboratory operations experience is considered an asset. The qualified applicant should also be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
The Lab Technician's main responsibilities include collecting dryer and alcohol samples to analyze moisture content, test samples from process of mashing, liquefaction and evaporators, and test fermenter samples for sugar, acids, glycerol to determine cell counts.
The successful applicant must have a strong base of chemistry knowledge, be able to troubleshoot and problem solve, and be technologically inclined. This position will require working evenings and weekends.
