Description

The school counselor provides individual and group counselling services to various elementary schools. Our counsellors work with individuals and groups, parents, school personnel and outside agencies; and support schools with their knowledge of prevention, intervention practices and programs.

Counsellors work in conjunction with our dedicated team of professional and support staffs to create a positive, faith-filled learning environment.

The successful candidate will:
- be of the Catholic Faith
- possess a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology (counselling) or a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology
- possess experience in individual counseling
- eligible for a Professional B Teachers Certificate

Preference will be given to candidates who:
- has an understanding of First Nations and Metis World View
- has strong interpersonal and communication skills
- are well planned, organized and flexible in crises situations
- have previous work experience as a member of an inter-disciplinary team
