Requirements for this position:
- Degree or diploma in agronomy, ag econ, ag business, ag ed, ag engineering, soil or weed science. (Related job experience may substitute for education.).
- At least one year of agronomy experience preferred
- Valid Class 5 Drivers licence with clean drivers abstract
Duties and responsibilities:
- Guide growers/customer in current best management practices appropriate to their specific operations.
- Ag chemical, fertilizer and seed recommendations
- Perform field monitoring for weeds, diseases, and insects and give appropriate diagnostics
- Demonstrates strong communication / work ethic / business skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Proven self-starter with the ability to form fast and strong business relationships
- Generate, improve, and recommend specific agronomic programs to clients to improve customer satisfaction & loyalty while improving agronomy business
- Deliver product and conduct soil samples as needed
- Qualified applicants must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed especially during times of high seasonal demand
- Ability to work independently and as part of the SynergyAG team
- Provide personal consultations with customers as needed
- Educational/promotional presentations as needed
