St. Pauls Hospital Gift Shop is seeking a part time Retail Associate with 1 to 2 years retail experience. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, with a positive attitude and ability to provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service. You have demonstrated experience working within a team environment and the ability to interact with people from all walks of life including volunteers, employees, patients, families and the general public.  Good communication skills are necessary, as is the ability to multi-task.  Loss Prevention experience would be an asset.

Key Responsibilities
    Responsible for opening and/or closing store, cashier duties, bank deposits, lottery ticket sales; basic computer skills necessary; lottery ticket sales experience an asset
    Providing excellent customer service and product knowledge
    Using diplomacy and observational skills to monitor guests re: loss prevention
    Ability to be creative in merchandising and create seasonal excitement
    Work with volunteers and assign duties as required
    Assist in keeping the shop clean, tidy, and well-stocked
    Ability to assume responsibility in the managers absence and ensure the smooth operation of the Gift Shop and provide continuity of service

This is a permanent, part time position offering a competitive rate and an attractive benefits package. Must be available for shifts Monday to Friday between 9am and 7:30pm and the occasional Saturday; as needed. Minimum 40 hours every two weeks.
