Description

Our client, READ Saskatoon addresses and supports the advancement of literacy and learning in our community. READ provides access to a range of literacy services for adults and families through the work of staff, trained volunteers and community partners.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Family Literacy Facilitator.

Working closely with the Program Manager and the Family Literacy Coordinator, the Family Literacy Facilitator is responsible for the facilitation and administration of READ Saskatoons family literacy initiatives. The facilitator delivers family literacy events and programs as well as additional family literacy initiatives. You would attend community meetings relevant to job responsibilities. In addition, provide guidance, support, resources, and tools to other literacy organizations in the province.

Duties include:

    Create, review, and revise a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully meet all outcomes and outputs determined by the project contract between READ Saskatoon and funders;
    Monitor the program activities on a regular basis and conduct continuous and annual evaluation data according to the program evaluation framework;
    Develop new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization;
    Work with community partners to deliver events and programs throughout the community that meet our target demographics;
    Facilitate programs with parents and children;
    Prepare program materials;
    Report evaluation findings to the Program Manager and recommend changes to enhance the program, as appropriate.
