Hours of work: Full time/ 35 hours per week
Accountable to: Sexual Assault Counseling Program Manager
The Program Facilitator will assist the SAC Program Manager in promoting the SIGN Sexual Assault Counseling program services; provide education and information sessions to raise awareness and prevention surrounding the issues of sexual abuse/sexual assault throughout Yorkton's geographical area; and will assist in providing services to schools, agencies, groups and/or organizations with no restrictions on age or gender.
The Program facilitator will also be responsible for developing and presenting cultural programming twice a month, this will include community programing for First Nation and Metis families and individuals within the Yorkton area and meeting with Elders and volunteers.
The Program Facilitator demonstrate the following qualifications;
- Post-secondary education in human services, diploma or degree, and/or equivalent work experience providing the following;
- understanding of client-centered strength-based services
- Sound experience in group facilitating and presentation
- Knowledge of Cultural protocols and a willingness to learn
- Knowledge of a First language ( Saulteaux,Cree etc.) will be an asset
