Job Description: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for promoting the Mission, Vision and Values of the Sunrise Health Region through provisions of safe quality nursing care to clients. He/She is responsible to the Manager of the designated area.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) or required to obtain within 6 months of employment
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
6 week Dialysis training at the Regina General Hospital
6 week orientation in YRHC Hemodialysis Unit
Other Information
Note: This position is open to all SUN members within the bargaining unit as per Article 27.05 of the SUN Collective Bargaining Agreement, however first preference will be given to employees of Sunrise Health Region.
Hemodialysis training involves education from Saskatchewan Polytechnic- Care of the Patient with Kidney Disease, followed by telehealth education and practicum in Regina and Yorkton over 10 weeks.
1) the most senior Hemo trained RN will be offered the position.
2) If there are no Hemo trained RN applicants then the most senior RN will be sent to the next Hemo course- Registration deadline is February 1/19- course runs from February 15- March 30, 2019.
Expected Start Date: January 2, 2019
FTE: 0.39
Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days, Evenings, Weekends
176.70 hours per 12 week rotation: 15 shifts of 11.78 hours
