A family in Regina is seeking to preferably hire a French speaking Caregiver to provide childcare for their under-age children(* The caregiver has the preference options whether to live in or live out of the employers home).
Accommodation will be provided if the employee decides to stay in the house of the employer). Public transportation is available and nearby.
This is a full-time job with minimum of 30 hours per week of work.
Caregiver duties will include:
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
Responsible for the household in absence of parents. Prepare and serve meals. Bathe, dress and feed children.
Nurture children according to the methods requested by the parents. Instruct the children in personal hygiene and social development.
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties. Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them. Read to children and help with homework.
Supervise and care for children. Tend to emotional well-being of the children. Laundry pertaining to children as required.
Candidate should be computer literate, be able to find information / research, be a critical thinker, be able to plan and solve problems, be able to communicate in French both orally and in writing.
Household working conditions:
The household is 100% Non-Smoking.
House hold is a Christian home
African by decent
Person will be working from Monday to Friday (Off on Saturday and Sunday), minimum of 30 hours per week but work hours may vary.
Completed high school/grade 12.
Driver's Licence preferred but not required.
Have an understanding of African culture and background is plus but not required
CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate level-C is required.
