The successful applicant must have the ability to teach medical office operations, anatomy and medical terminology, medical voice transcription, medical report preparation and medical computer software as well as basic clinical skills including vital signs, ECG, and sterile field.
Education/Experience:
Degree/diploma in Nursing or related subject area or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Will consider licensed practical nurses with relevant education and experience.
Job Duties, Skills and Abilities
Provide classroom instructions and labs
Prepare and evaluate students class work/ exams/assignments
Assist with clinical assessment as required
Build professional and collaborative working relationships with students and external stakeholders
Maintain positive interaction with students and faculty
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and work in a culturally diverse environment.
Experience working with BlackBoard is an asset.
Working hours vary from 10-25 hrs/week.
