Soo Line Daycare Cooperative is looking to hire a Part-time Custodian. The successful applicant will be required to work 4 hours per day (early mornings or evenings) for a total of 20 hours per week. The Custodian will be responsible to complete thorough wipe downs of all highly touchable surfaces to help prevent illness as well as extra duties as needed. The successful candidate will receive excellent on the job training.
Specific Maintenance Activities
- Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
- Remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
- Clean and disinfect washrooms and fixtures
- Sweep, mop, scrub and wax floors
- Paint
- Work with minimal supervision
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Equipment Operated/Used
- Carpet cleaning machines
- Upholstery cleaning equipment
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Repetitive tasks
- Bending, crouching, kneeling
Security and Safety
- Criminal record check (abstract)
