The Ministry of Social Services is looking to fill Income Assistance worker positions on a term basis. We require respectful, caring, and citizen-centered individuals who will work as a member of a team to deliver services to families and individuals (including people with disabilities and multiple barriers) receiving financial assistance under various Saskatchewan income assistance programs. Using information gathered through the assessment process, you will determine the eligibility for social assistance, the benefit level, and other services to which the client may be entitled; and work with clients and community organizations to develop plans for enhanced independence self-sufficiency of the individual or family.
You are required to work flexible hours that accommodate the needs of the clients and the program. You may be required to travel.
Typically, the knowledge required for this position would be obtained through completion of an undergraduate degree in social work, Indian social work, sociology, or a related course of study.
