Leon Mfg. Company Inc. is a Saskatchewan based manufacturer of LEON brand agricultural material handling products and RAMROD brand compact utility loaders.
The objective of the Inventory Control Coordinator is to develop, implement and maintain processes and reporting that will guarantee the accuracy, integrity and effective use of the inventory resources of the organization. The position will also be responsible for accurate perpetual on-hand inventory levels, daily cycle counts and the monitoring of all inventory transactions.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing all aspects of inventory control (both physical and system maintenance);
Regularly reporting inventory levels to Management;
Preparing and maintaining an active, accurate inventory plan;
Identifying slow moving inventory;
Working with Engineering to substitute slow moving inventory and standardize future inventory requirements;
Controlling and monitoring inventory on the shop floor; and
Recommending and implementing better inventory procedures.
Candidates should possess a bachelors degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, worked in a metal manufacturing environment, strong communication skills both verbal and written, an eye for detail, and the ability to lead and take ownership of all inventory controls. Good computer skills are a requirement of the position. Experience in a purchasing, inventory control, or similar position (especially in a processing or manufacturing setting) is preferred.
