Description

The Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services Inc. is seeking a Program Manager for the North office, located in Yorkton SK.  This position reports to the YTCCFS Inc. Director of Protection Services.  The successful candidate will provide supervisory duties to a team of Integrated Family Service Workers and is responsible for ensuring the delivery of child protection services to First Nation children living on one of our First Nation communities.  Duties include but are not limited to, reviewing all investigations of reports of child abuse, neglect and abandonment; assisting the team in the placement of children in need of protection with alternate caregivers and ensuring counseling and support services are provided.  
Applicant must possess a Bachelor of Indian Social Work/Bachelor of Social Work with in Child and Family Services OR a four year University undergraduate degree in a related discipline and at least two (2) years experience in a social services organization.Must have knowledge of Cree, Saulteaux, and Nakota culture and language as well as the political and social objectives of the member First Nations. Must have knowledge and commitment to the FSIN Child Welfare and Family Support Act, the Child and Family Services Act of Saskatchewan, INAC Child and Family Services Program Directive 20 - 1, and the INAC Saskatchewan Region Child in Care Policy.
