Reports To: ReStore Manager/Assistant Manager
Position Type: Full Time (37.5 Hours / week)
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for processing and repairing appliances for sale in the ReStore.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
-Ensuring that all donated appliances have been repaired, tested, cleaned and priced prior to going to the sales floor.
-Responsible to maintain donation and appliance logs as required.
-Provide appliance repair services in accordance with appliance warranty.
-Maintain inventory of parts and order replacement parts as required.
-Identify appliances for recycling.
-Assisting the other ReStore staff as required during vacation, breaks, lunch time and when not busy.
-Greeting customers and creating a comfortable environment for customers to experience what the ReStore has to offer.
-Assist in providing a clean, safe environment including the identification and elimination of potential hazards.
-Providing friendly and efficient telephone service.
-Other tasks or duties are required by management.
The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday
Qualifications
-Training and experience in appliance repair.
-Certifications required to charge and discharge appliance gasses.
-Knowledge of the mission for Habitat for Humanity Regina and the mandate of the ReStore
-Exceptional customer service skills.
-Ability to take direction and work effectively as part of a team.
-Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtraction, multiplying and dividing.
-Ability to operate store equipment such as but not limited to, telephone, copiers, fax, till, labeling machine and computers.
-Ability to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions.
-Physical ability to move large, bulky or heavy merchandise.
