This position provides support to the Director of Finance and Administration in the day-to-day operations of payroll, financial reporting, fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, audit, information technology and budgets in relation to establish business objectives, with a focus on continuous improvement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible to review ACLP prepared payrolls, verifying all payroll information for accuracy.
2. Assist the Director of Finance & Administration in preparation and audit of annual T4s.
3. Complete data integrity checks in SAGE. Investigate and correct all data issues/errors.
4. Assist Director of Finance & Administration with month end processes up to and including preparing the financial statements in the absence of the Director of Finance & Administration.
5. Responsible to provide instruction of processes to Finance Team.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Degree in Commence and working towards completion of the CPA designation.
Five years progressive experience managing and supervising a finance department daily.
An acceptable combination of suitable education, experience, and training may also be considered.
Knowledge of terminology and practices, applicable federal laws and provincial laws, industry regulations, Occupational Health & Safety, and union agreements.
Knowledge of finance and accounting business process and procedures including General Ledger and full cycle accounting processes and procedures.
Knowledge of SAGE 300 Premium ERP would be considered an asset.
