STC provides emergency receiving group homes for children and youth aged 0-16 yrs. in need of a safe and nurturing environment. The home(s) provide increased protection and a sense of safety and belonging for children and youth who are no longer in the care of their primary caregivers and or are involved with the Ministry of Social Services.
The Home Supervisor is under the direct supervision and will report to the Director of Child Services.
Ensure the children / youth will be safe and have increased protection from abuse, neglect, harm, or threat of harm;
Work with the Ministry of Social Services to complete the assessment/intake process of each child/youth placed in the Home;
Collaborate with the child/ youth care workers in assessing the short term and long term needs of the children and youth to develop care plans and integrated services for children/ youth.
Ability to perform all duties in accordance with related legislation. Knowledge of Saskatchewan and First Nation legislation for Child & Family Services is required
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Membership in a provincial association of social workers
