Description

Our client is currently seeking a Wellsite Operator 2 in Lloydminster, SK/AB for a one year contract.  

The Wellsite Operator 2 will be responsible for the safe, compliant and cost effective field measurement activities. This person will also interface with Lloydminster Control Room personnel, Field Operations, Pipeline engineering staff, and Maintenance personnel.

Core Responsibilities
Operate the fleet of Meter Provers when required and provide back up and coverage to the current Meter Proving staff.
Complete field measurement audits (BS&W monitoring, H2S sampling, etc)
Ensure periodic preventative maintenance activities are completed on Meter Provers and Meters.
Witness third party sample analysis, meter proving, prover waterdraws, measurement equipment commissioning,
Participate in the design reviews and HAZOPs for capital and maintenance projects. Interface with Construction site representatives to coordinate work in operating areas. Manage commissioning of new facilities and assist with construction activities as required (co-ordination of shutdowns, preparing equipment for turnover to Construction, etc).
Measurement schematic review, EPAP and other audit data collection.

Must Have Skills:
Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
Valid Class 5 Driver's License
5  10 plus years related industry experience
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities in a logical manner
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrated self-motivation and willingness to accept increased operational responsibilities
Demonstrated mechanical or electrical aptitude and analytical troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with computer based control systems
Computer skills including experience and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP
Demonstrated safety awareness and industry recognized safety training
