Description

The Executive Coordinator, under the direction of the Chief, will provide support to the leadership of George Gordon First Nation. The Executive Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of the Nations governance, including but not limited to, managing special events, travel and correspondence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

?    Provide administrative support to the Governance Department
?    Organize and provide administrative support for all governance meetings
?    Website development and upkeep  
?    Communication/Newsletter  
?    Other related duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

?    Minimum Business/Administration Diploma or related field required ? a combination of education and experience will be considered
?    Minimum three years in a senior administrative role, in a First Nation organization preferred
?    Knowledge of accounting procedures involving travel and budget management
?    Excellent organizational, strategic planning and implementation skills
?    Ability to problem solve, statically plan and follow procedure
?    Experience in facilitation, negotiation and interest-based problem solving.
?    In-depth knowledge and understanding of First Nations people, the cultures, communities, service agencies and political structures.
?    Knowledge of provincial and federal structures including legislation, policies and programs relevant to First Nations people.
?    A Valid class 5 drivers licence.
