Job Description: Under the supervision of the Director of Home Care Services or alternate, the incumbent will provide wound care to clients in a consultant capacity fostering optimal level of rehabilitation and quality of life. The incumbent will assist with the development of educational goals for the Wound Care Program for the nursing programs/services, along with policies and procedures congruent with Regional goals and objectives and evidence-based practice standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-    Current SRNA registration
-    Graduate of a recognized School of Enterostomal Therapy
-    A BSN or Masters Degree in Nursing, adult or continuing education is an asset
-    Experience in enterostomal nursing is preferred
-    Membership in the Canadian Association of Enterostomal Therapy (CAET) preferred
-    Current CPR certification in Basic Life Support at Level C
-    Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers License
-    Basic computer literacy with work, email and excel programs
NATURE & SCOPE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, JUDGMENT & ATTRIBUTES:
The incumbent:
-    Primarily serves as a consultant to other nursing staff but will during assessment and monitoring provide direct care to clients requiring skin and wound care. Registers the client with an ostomy with the Saskatchewan Ostomy program if required. Participates in inter-professional team conferences as appropriate to client care.
-    Possesses the skill and ability to advance ideas and build positive, effective work relationships among colleagues within and outside.
-    Identifies new clinical practice development and trends, which may impact practice or skin and wound care products in La Ronge Health Centre
-    Engages in quality improvement initiatives relevant to skin, wound care, incontinence, and ostomy care.
-    Plans, organizes, delivers, and evaluates staff educational programs
