SEDs Project Management Office is looking for one temporary 17 month full-time Project Coordinator!
Project Coordinators assist Project Managers by preparing cost estimates, schedules, forecasts, trends and analyses. These duties are performed as part of the planning and reporting process required to track the various financial aspects of proposals and projects.
Responsibilities:
-Work with Project Managers in executing new projects and reporting monthly on project progression
-Proposal costing and ensuring cost control standards are met
-Develop and maintain good user capabilities on various software packages such as Primavera, Microsoft Project and Excel
-Develop a proactive method of operation and anticipating project/proposal action items with minimum supervision
-Develop a good working knowledge of contractual matters relating to assigned projects and proposals
-Implement the project and proposal procedures in an organized manner
Requirements:
-Self-motivated and adaptable
-Able to make suggestions and decisions within the scope of responsibility
-Able to organize and meet deadlines
-Good interpersonal and communication skills with strong analytical abilities
This position will be of interest to candidates with:
-Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
-A related degree or diploma, and/or related work experience
-A Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance is considered an asset
-Knowledge of pivot tables, macros, Primavera Project Planner and Microsoft Project is considered an asset
The ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program is mandatory. All candidates will be required to apply for and receive a Government Security Clearance.
