- Build and develop new and existing professional relationships with contractors and customers alike.
- Provide support to customers in the design of their projects, requirements of blueprints, as well as sourcing of materials and estimates.
- Perform material take-offs and provide accurate quotes in a timely manner.
- Cold calling and prospecting new clientele and accounts.
- Provide a weekly report to the Store Manager on activities within the Sales Persons territory.
- Arrange and promote Contractor events.
*This position requires time spent in store as well as out of store on jobsites or customers respective places of business. A valid drivers license with good abstract is required*
- Must have basic knowledge of building materials and forestry products.
- Sales experience is an asset.
- Must have working knowledge of computer systems including Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Accurate and detail orientated.
- Time management skills.
- Reliable, self-motivated and willingness to learn.
- Experience in a similar position is an asset but will train the right individual.
