Description

The Saskatoon Housing Coalition strives to provide quality recovery focused residential services to individuals who are experiencing lifelong mental illness, and may also be struggling with substance use. The program delivery model is to offer affordable housing in conjunction with community-based services to support individuals to live independently in a place that they can call home. This position is an exciting opportunity for someone who shares similar passions and values as THE SASKATOON HOUSING COALITION and who is ready to build upon the solid and successful organization that is in place. The successful candidate will be a confident, caring individual with courageous values and ethics and will have a desire and willingness to lead the Coalitions vision, mandate and guiding principles.  

Requirements:
Education and Experience:
    A Post-Secondary Education with a focus on social services. A Masters degree is an asset.
    A minimum of 10 years experience in Leadership role.
    Experience working with a not-for-profit organization in management or volunteer capacity, working with a Board of Directors and background experience in the area of mental health programming and residential services including social housing, property management, or social programming is an asset.
    Able to empower, mentor, motivate, and support the team.
    Experience dealing with financial accountability including budgeting, writing grant proposals, etc.
    Experience dealing with change management as the organization grows.
    Experience working in a Union setting, ensuring that all parties adhere to the collective agreement.
