Responsible for supporting school nutrition programs: program and event planning, coordination and operations; school and community relations; research and evaluation. Position requires exceptional organizing skills,community capacity/development skills and great communication skills. Previous work in research assistance considered an asset. CHEP is committed to improving food security and the Program Coordinator, Children's Nutrition position is a key role within the organization. 28 hours per week.
SKILLS required: Excellent Communication (verbal, written); Research skills; Community involvement and knowledge, in particular within school-community environments; previous NGO experience; program and event coordination; ability to facilitate training and/or meetings of multi-stakeholders; some volunteer coordination an asset. Computer knowledge: Microsoft Office suite of programs (Power point, excel spreadsheets, email, Word). Able to assist in other CHEP programs as required. Anticipated Start Date: January 28, 2019.
