Description

Norseman Structures is an international leader in the design and construction of steel-framed, fabric-covered buildings. Norseman is passionate about providing building solutions that exceed expectations.  We offer our customers building solutions that are virtually unlimited, ranging from diverse industrial uses to high-end commercial, military, disaster relief, sports, entertainment and recreational applications.

We are currently looking for a Fabric Production Operator.

-Ensures implementation and adherence to health and safety regulations; promotes safety and encourage safe work practices.
-Maintains quality manufacturing practices and processes; follows defined procedures/inspection criteria, and takes appropriate action on actual and potential problems.
-Maintains a productive and efficient work environment.
-Measures, marks and cuts materials.
-Reports all improper operations, faulty machinery and defective materials to the Fabric Production Supervisor.
-Inspects and packages all completed products.
-Works with raw industrial PE/PVC materials.
-Operates hot air welder, RF welder, Miller Weldmaster welder.
-Operates industrial sewing machines both Long Arm and Short Arm.
-Participates as an integral member of the team and contributes towards the success of the Company by performing other related duties as required.

Requirements
-High School diploma/GED.
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
-Experience in Industrial sewing and hot air welder is an asset.
-Able to read and interpret blue-prints considered an asset.
-Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and ISO 9001: 2008 are considered assets.

This is an hourly position with a normal 40 hour work-week.  Plant setting, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am  4:30 pm.
