The Rural Municipality of Moose Range is accepting applications for the position of a seasonal part time sign man / labourer. This position is to begin May 1, 2019 for the May to October Season weather permitting. This applicant must be self motivated and will assist in the maintenance of the road network. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package after the applicable probationary period has been completed. The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Maintain, fix, & replace signs within the R.M. boundary
Place warning signs at road hazards & remove when fixed
Trim trees around culverts
Removal of fallen trees into ditches or R.O.W.
Removal of beaver dams
Daily checks on explosive magazine
Removal of debris from blocked culverts
Collection of beaver tails once per month
Keep sand bags filled & ready in case of emergency & for signs
Assist backhoe operator if needed
General yard maintenance (cutting grass, pick up garbage, etc.)
Other duties may be required from time to time as requested by the
Council and / or the Administrator.
The preferred candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Valid Class 5 license required.
Employee must provide own transportation, mileage will be paid in compensation.
Clean drivers abstract.
Strong communication skills
Must be able to work independently and within a team.
Explosives course and Power Saw Operator course is beneficial.
Hours of work: 3-4 Days per week 8:00am - 5:00pm
