Global Ag Risk Solutions is an innovative growing agricultural risk management company that is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the risk management team.
The main job duty is to process insurance claims based on financial data received from clients. Day to day duties are comprised of entering and analyzing financial data using Microsoft Office (Excel) and a variety of accounting programs as part of the overall process of reviewing and farm revenue and production expenses for a given claim year.
The ideal candidate will have:
a background in agriculture and/or experience in agricultural accounting
a post secondary accounting diploma and/or pursuit of CPA designation
a minimum of three years experience in accounting preferably working at a public accounting firm or similar environment with experience preparing ag related working paper files
familiarity with preparing and /or reviewing Agristability applications
good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) with hands on experience with multiple accounting software (AgExpert, Quickbooks, Sage)
effective communication skills and problem solving abilities
The chosen candidate will also be communicating with other members of the Global Ag Risk Solutions team as well as clients on a daily basis, so effective communication skills are necessary. Overtime is not required but a willingness to work overtime when the workload warrants it, is appreciated. The chosen candidate must be deadline driven and able to maintain client confidentiality.
Training will be provided and some travel will be required.
