Description

CLSI is now accepting applications for a Junior Project Manager as a member of our Operations and Technical Services Department in our Machine Division. Reporting to the Senior Projects Advisor, the Junior Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of facility and beamline development projects of varying size and complexity.

Responsibilities:
-Manages project execution, project budget and finance and project change control. Develops and publishes communications to project shareholders.  Develops and reviews project status and reports. Coordinates technical decisions with project technical leads and scientific leads.
-Coordinates a diverse group of individuals involved in delivering capital projects, including: Beamline Scientists, System Analysts, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Accelerator Physicists, Technicians, Consultants and Contractors.
-Provides oversite on all project purchases as part of the procurement authorization approval chain, ensuring that all project related purchases are within budget.
-Initiate project schedules and maintain throughout the project.
-Maintain cost control documentation clearly identifying budget, expenditures and forecast to complete. Work with Finance Department to verify budgets and expended costs are correct. Identify and develop project change orders for all changes in scope, cost or schedule.
-Follow the Project Process to provide all required documentation throughout the project.

Qualifications:
-A relevant undergraduate degree
-A minimum of 3 years of related experience
-A high level of competency with project scheduling software, with a preference for Microsoft Project
